Alina Aloma, PhD, LP
(she/her)

Dr. Alina Aloma focuses on creating a culturally affirming environment where you can explore the different parts of yourself and make sense of the contexts you have developed in and how they have influenced your self-perception, relationships, and performance. She is a proud Latina, born in Puerto Rico to Cuban exiles. She is a native Spanish speaker and provides therapy in both English and Spanish. In her therapeutic approach, Dr. Alina utilizes active listening, a supportive yet stimulating stance, humor, and kind frankness as she helps you find your own voice and path. She works with adults (ages 20 to 60) and provides individual therapy via telehealth. With over 20 years of experience, her primary specialties include multicultural psychology and gender affirming care, among others. Dr. Alina’s clients are often talented, intelligent, creative, and high-achieving individuals who may struggle with self-worth. Many have learned to be hard on themselves as a survival strategy and often feel like they don’t fully belong in any one cultural or societal group.
